Changing Habits can take Time — Be Gentle With Yourself
We all know the feeling. You decide it’s time for a reset; to eat better, move more, feel lighter, clearer, more yourself. You start strong… and then life happens. Stress creeps in. Old routines resurface. Motivation wobbles.
If this sounds familiar, you’re not failing. You’re human. If simple willpower were enough we would all be easily changing habits all the time. The truth is we can benefit from different support structures when we come to change habits: emotional, practical, and sometimes herbal. Through Ayurveda’s compassionate perspective we can seek to provide support while addressing long standing habits.
Ayurveda Sees Habits as Patterns, with Underlying Supporting Structures.
In Ayurveda, habits are deeply connected to rhythm. Sleep, digestion, stress, cravings — they’re all patterns that build slowly over time. Just as they form gradually, they soften gradually too.
Rather than harsh cleanses or “all-or-nothing” thinking, Ayurveda encourages gentle, consistent steps that help the body remember its natural balance. When we find our natural balance again we are more likely to stick to it as it naturally feels so much more like home than the altered patterns we get into.
That mindset alone can feel like a relief. When we look at habits and patterns we look compassionately at them and understand what purpose they have been serving.
Supporting Change From the Inside Out
When you’re trying to shift habits — especially around food, energy, or daily routines — it helps to feel supported internally.
Changing your inner health picture can very much support and promote habit change. As the Dosha imbalance shifts, the internal waste clears and the metabolism and digestion get fired up there is a different feeling and perspective that can arise which can support change.
Neem Cleanse: Move the Blood, Remove Stagnancy
Neem Cleanse helps the lymphatic system to move and clear. It also supports the blood which in turn leads to clear skin. Neem Cleanse is an ideal way to get a sluggish system moving, cleansing excess Pitta from the body and help fight off any infection or virus. Balancing blood sugars is really important when creating habit change and neem cleanse can help here too. When the lymph and blood are no longer congested there can be a much greater feeling of energy in the body which in turn can provide more capacity for addressing habits.
Guggul Formula: like a Spring Clean of the Hard to Reach Cupboards
Ama or metabolic waste can clog our systems and Srotas(channels). Guggul Formula helps to promote the metabolism, especially fat metabolism, and gently clears our ‘channels’. If there is stagnancy guggul can really help to promote inner change that can support habit and pattern change. Our formula combines Guggul with powerful anti inflammatory herbs which is important in changing the inner environment. During stress, inflammation often arises and kept unchecked continues after the stress event is over. Guggul Formula and MSM Flex can help to change this pattern and release you into different new supportive patterns. Guggul and Guduchi are two of the best Ayurvedic remedies for clearing Ama (metabolic waste) and both are found in Guggul Formula.
Ayur Cleanse – Promote Gentle Elimination
Ayur Cleanse is often used as a broader, gentle bowel cleanse. The bowel is the seat of Apana Vata – this should always be moving in a downward direction. Regular well formed stool is important and Ayur Cleanse can help support this. It contains the Ayurvedic marvel of Triphala combined with some Senna, Grapes, Trivrut and other herbs. This formula gently stimulates the gut muscles to prompt a bowel movement. We suggest taking this formula at night time to promote movement the next day. When everything is flowing in the body in the direction that it should and the gut is working properly we can find our thinking becomes sharper, we have more energy and more impetus for change.
Amnanda and Lifebalance – Find the Underlying Cause Blocking Habit Change
Habit change sometimes needs a deeper understanding. There are sometimes underlying ways of thinking and being that hold unhelpful habits or patterns in place. Sometimes we need to do some deeper work to find our way into consistent new patters and ways of being. To do this there are two fantastic therapies available called Amnanda Process and LIfebalance both of which can help facilitate habit and pattern change.
Habit Change Isn’t Linear
There will be days when you slip back into old habits. Days when you forget your routine. Days when motivation disappears entirely.
That doesn’t undo your progress.
Ayurveda teaches that balance is something we move in and out of, moment to moment. Often our customers return periodically to our formulas that they know have worked for them in times of need. Formulas that help assist the change they desire.
You don’t need to transform overnight.
You don’t need to be perfect.
You don’t need to punish yourself into change.
Start where you are. Support your body. Be kind to yourself.
New habits grow best when they’re nurtured — not forced.

In Ayurveda, one of the most beautiful teachings is also one of the simplest: true wellbeing is created in the small, loving choices we make every day.
