The Amnanda Treatments

The Amnanda Process

The Amnanda Process was developed 1400 years ago from a Tibetan tradition of Ayurveda. Originally practiced by monks, it was made available to us through Baba Ramdas Swami, a Tibetan monk and Ayurvedic master.

The Amnanda Process is an Ayurvedic ‘rasayana’ or regenerating therapy traditionally used to slow down and even reverse signs of the ageing process. It helps release deeply held stress and tension from both body and mind restoring vitality and health. According to Ayurveda, physical and mental tension leaves a residual trace in our cells in the form of crystalline structures. These residues negatively impact our health, our ability to heal and lead to premature signs of ageing. Amnanda dissolves these crystalline structures so that regeneration, harmonisation and revitalisation on a physical, emotional and spiritual level become possible.

What does it involve?

The Amnanda Process is a one-year treatment program of twelve relaxing oil treatments. The oils used in Amnanda are specially prepared with herbs and mantra and are applied to the whole body.

The Amnanda Process is a journey that unfolds over the year - releasing trauma held in different areas of the body and at deeper levels with each successive treatment. Healing begins from the first treatment and each person’s journey is highly individual but always includes renewed enthusiasm, greater clarity and direction in life and restored youthful vitality.

The cleansing and healing effects of the oil treatments is further supported by drinking two specially formulated herbal teas: Amaiva Green Tea boosts the immune system and Woman/Man Vital Tea helps support the hormonal system. Also, for two months during the year, a tincture is taken daily to strengthen and tone the skin and connective tissues.

Who can benefit from the Amnanda Process?

We are all affected by negative experiences that naturally occur throughout life and the Amnanda Process restores our ability to move through these with greater ease and resilience. There are times though when we feel more challenged or eager to make changes and Amnanda is very beneficial at these times:

- You are at a crossroads in life. For example: starting a new career, during pregnancy, parenting small children, beginning a new relationship, approaching retirement or changing your lifestyle.
- You want to slow down the ageing process and enjoy good health late into life.
- Your quality of life is affected by past injuries and you would like to boost your self-healing capability.
- You feel blocked in your happiness by past experiences and want to find greater clarity in your goals for life.
- you simply wish to be or become more relaxed and happy.

  Amnanda Moksha

Moksha is a Sanskrit word that means freedom and Amnanda Moksha is an Ayurvedic oil treatment that uses the energy of loving touch to help create more freedom in your life – to free you from blocks and self-limiting behavioural patterns. The feeling of freedom is directly connected to your physical and emotional health and in Amnanda Moksha we use touch to influence the metabolism through the connections between mind and body.

Do you feel that there is anything that is blocking you in your life? How are your relationships with your partner, your friends and colleagues? Is there anything blocking you at work or in your social life? Do you find it easy to talk to people socially or at work?  Some people have a block about talking to others. Some people have a performance anxiety block and may find, for example, speaking in public or auditioning difficult.

What are patterns and blocks?

Blocks are at the level of communication and blocks to communication can be both physical and emotional -  from the communication between the bacteria in your gut to the communication between you and your partner. What is a block? A block is not an injury, it's a pattern in us that is often from childhood.

Do you ever find it difficult to go from wanting to do something to actually doing it? Maybe you want to eat more healthily or give up coffee but find the old habits hard to break. There seems to be a conflict, and this is an inner block. You want to do something and then may end up actually doing the opposite – you make a plan to lose weight but instead find yourself eating ice cream in front of the T.V. Or the other way around – you want to be kind and considerate to others but keep finding yourself getting frustrated at your family or colleagues. A block is when your conscious-self wants something but another part of you says no. The result is that life can sometimes feel as though it is more difficult than it could be.

But you can change your behaviour if you want. There is a lot that it is possible to change, for example, your conditioning and blocks, or your traumas. In this way you canchange your future. You can change from being closed to more open, to more freedom if you want - and the goal in Amnanda Moksha is freedom. More freedom in your relationships, your decision-making and all aspects of your life.

“In the moment that you touch another then you are in communication”

What are the benefits?

You can see the effect of amnanda moksha on the metabolic system. When we combine touch with a specific oil then at this moment the body produces a lot of hormones and neurotransmitters - dopamine, endorphins and oxytocin for example. This boost to the metabolism can influence the cells of the body and also the connections to the brain. This is how we can actually ‘release’ ourselves from negative patterns, by reframing them and matching them with another context and another feeling.  The most important point in Amnanda Moksha is this effect on the hormonal system, the metabolic system. The goal is a stronger, vital, more authentic you – increased self-esteem and increased self-determination – more freedom and free will.

What does Amnanda Moksha involve?

There is a spiritual, almost sacred, aspect to this traditional Ayurvedic treatment and this can be experienced through loving presence and touch. Amnanda Moksha is a whole-body oil treatment where the client is naked. In our everyday life we wear so much camouflage and to be able to let this go and be without clothes in the safety of this therapeutic moment can create a deeply transforming and freeing experience.

We have the utmost respect for you and your body and work completely within your boundaries and wishes. We find time and time again that any initial apprehension soon eases the moment that you experience the treatment.

Amnanda Moksha can be experienced as a stand-alone treatment, but we find that a course of 6 treatments spaced approximately 4 weeks apart is ideal for most people.

"Amnanda has been one of the best things I have ever done. I let go of so many old emotions and fears which ultimately gave me a clarity to find my real self. After having the healing sessions myself I then did the training course with Andy to become a therapist. My life has changed in such a positive way. Thank you for recommending Amnanda to me."
