Neelybringadi Coconut oil is a great oil to support healthy lustrous hair and nourish the scalp. Combines Ayurveda's main herbs for the hair and scalp - Bhringaraj, Brahmi and Amla - in a base of pure coconut and sesame oil. Neelybringadi oil deeply conditions the hair and can help counter the effects of excess sun, shampoos, colours and product.
Neelybringadi oil can be very beneficial for hair which is treated or coloured or for anyone who wants to combat brittle or dull hair. Bhringaraj is known as ‘King of the hair’ and has a long tradition in Ayurveda to support healthy hair growth and nourish the scalp. Amla fruit and Brahmi leaf are both ‘tonics’ for the hair and act as a natural preventative to dry flaky skin and dandruff.

Coconut Oil, Sesame Oil, Bringharaj Leaf (Eclipta Alba), Amla Fruit (Emblia Officinalis), Brahmi Leaf (Bacopa Monniera), Neeli Leaf (Indigofera Tinctoria), Shatavari Root (Asparagus Racemosus), Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza Glabra), Chinese Hibiscus (Hibiscus Rosasinensis), Sahachara (Barleria Prionitis), Nirgundi (Vitex Nirgundo).
Our Ayurvedic massage oils are prepared in the traditional Ayurvedic way. We use a full 250g of herbs per litre of oil and follow a process that takes 3 days to prepare each oil. This complex process allows the healing properties from the herbs to permeate fully into the oil to maximise the efficacy.
Suggested Use:
Neelybringadi Coconut Hair Oil is best used by gently massaging into the scalp for five minutes. The oil should then be worked through the hair from root to tip; alternatively, the oil can be combed through to ensure an even distribution is achieved. Ideally leave oil in hair for at least 20 minutes or longer (can be left in all day) before washing out. As Neelybringradi Hair Oil is coconut oil based it can be solid at cool temperatures and may require warming before use.
Lately, my hair felt a bit wiry/wavy and dry. I put it down to my age (80) and as my hair is still thick , wanted to condition it . So, I applied it at night and shampooed it in the morning. Hair was more manageable. Will use it once every week to get the full benefit. Many years ago when growing up, it was a regular routine to apply oil and massage it gently in the scalp. Now, I’m restarting this routine. I trust the company for their oils which I have been buying for some years. I bit expensive but that is reflected in the quality. Prompt service, happy customer.

A lovely light oil but one I found very effective. My hair and my scalp were like velvet after use and I found it easy to wash out, no lingering oiliness. I will use this regularly from now on.

I love this stuff - that it is free from any chemicals and filled with herbs. A great hair product for self care. My son uses it for minor dandruff issues. Either way it feels deeply nourishing.
