Pitta oil is blended using cooling and soothing Pitta balancing herbs such as Vetivert, Shatavari, Rose and Neem. Pitta oil can be helpful all year round as a general massage oil to soothe and cool Pitta skin which can tend towards sensitivity and irritation.
With a pleasant, mild fragrance it is ideal for all types to use as a summer oil to help soothe and nourish skin affected by sun and heat.
Vetivert (Vetiveria zizaniodis), Shatavari (Asparagaus racemosus), Sariva (Hemidesmus indicus), Neem (Azadirachta indica), Rose (Rosa centifolia), Coriander (Coriandum sativum), Manjista (Rubia cordifolia), Priyangu (Callicarpa macrophylla), Licorice (Glycirrhiza glabra), Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna) in a base of pure organic sesame oil.
Our Ayurvedic massage oils are prepared in the traditional Ayurvedic way. We use a full 250g of herbs per litre of oil and follow a process that takes 3 days to prepare each oil. This complex process allows the healing properties from the herbs to permeate fully into the oil to maximise the efficacy.
Warm a little of the oil before applying to the whole of your body and gently massage into the skin. For best results apply daily before or after a shower or bath.
I have both the Kapha and Pitta oils as I am dual dosha and alternate depending what I need. Both oils are exceptional quality and leave my skin feeling baby soft. I love the combination of herbs used and the aroma is very soothing. Very happy with these products. Highly recommend.
Feels good going well
The oil goes on very easily and is not sticky. Its smells predominately of sesame rather than any of the other constituents but it feels nice and is not unpleasant. I enjoy using it.
Have used it a few times for back massage and it feels great, not sticky or too oily so is cooling to the skin. Great - thank you!
I use this oil in the evening to cool and calm myself before bed.
