Understanding Respiratory Balance in Ayurveda

In Ayurveda, imbalances in the respiratory system are often associated with the accumulation of excess mucus (kapha), particularly during seasonal changes or periods of increased environmental exposure. This may be experienced as heaviness, congestion, or the familiar discomforts associated with coughs, colds and seasonal sensitivities.

Traditional Ayurvedic practice places importance on supporting the body during these times with warming, aromatic herbs—an approach reflected in classical formulations such as Sitopaladi.

Sitopaladi Powder is a classical Ayurvedic formulation, traditionally used as part of daily herbal practice, particularly during seasonal changes. Gentle, naturally sweet and aromatic, it combines a small number of carefully selected ingredients in a balanced and time-honoured ratio.

At its core is Vamsalochana (bamboo silica), blended with warming botanicals such as Pippali, Cardamom and Cinnamon, and naturally sweetened with mishri (rock candy). Together, these ingredients create a smooth, palatable powder that has long been valued in traditional Ayurvedic preparations.

Light and easy to take, Sitopaladi can be mixed with warm water, milk, or honey, making it a simple addition to your daily routine.
