"The countryside outside is gentle, just right for reflective rambles. The garden is a quiet delight, an ideal spot to sit and muse. The same feeling of contemplative peace pervades the restful, comfortable house; a real sense of home."
Your personalised Ayurvedic programme will be held at our residential retreat in the peaceful Lincolnshire countryside. Situated on the outskirts of a small village, surrounded by fields it's the perfect place to get away from it all and reconnect to nature's cycles.
The retreat house is a traditional farmhouse with wooden beams and wood burning stoves creating a cosy atmosphere to inspire rest and relaxation. Spend evenings gazing into the fire and enjoy the perfect quiet, broken only by the occasional owl hooting. The two double bedrooms each have a staircase and access to their own bathroom and enjoy views of the surrounding countryside or garden. The large lounge allows ample room for both guests to share comfortably. The dining room and sun room also provide alternative places to relax and enjoy time to yourself. There is also a very comfortable en-suite studio overlooking the courtyard for those who prefer a little more privacy.
We have a large garden to enjoy and explore and there are several pleasant walks you can take directly from the house. Our clients often comment on the joy at rediscovering the simple pleasure of walking, watching wildlife go about its day and having time to appreciate the beauty nature provides us in abundance.
“This is a beautiful place to relax and allow yourself space and time - lovely cosy rooms, a delightful garden and surroundings- all so well cared for creating a very special space.”
If you are travelling a long distance you are welcome to arrive the night before. If so, please let us know on booking and if you can aim to arrive, having eaten, between 6p.m and 8 p.m that would be great - if you need to arrive later that is also fine with prior arrangement. Please just let us know beforehand together with your estimated arrival time.

Our nearest train stations are Boston (18 miles), Grantham (40 miles) and Lincoln (30 miles). There is a direct train from London Kings Cross to Grantham that takes just over one hour and from Grantham there is a connecting train to Boston.
We have an arrangement with a local taxi firm who can collect you from the railway station. Taxi fares to and from Grantham and Lincoln stations are £60- £65 each way and take approx. 60 minutes. To and from Boston is £25 each way and takes 30 minutes.
If you would like to use the taxi service from Boston (£25) or Grantham (£65) please contact 2 Tone Taxis on 07970 367321. Another alternative if you are arriving from Grantham is Discount Cabs (£60) on 01476 591059. For both firms mention Essential Ayurveda Retreats as we have arranged fixed prices with them. As they are quite busy it is best to give them as much notice as you can.
From the south Join the A1 north. At Stamford take the A16 towards Spalding and continue on A16 past Spalding, through Boston and continue until signposted right turn to Spilsby (B1195). The retreat is 1½ miles out of Spilsby off the B1195. If you are using satnav set your route to go via Spilsby otherwise just using our postcode seems to send people off on a wild goose chase!
From the north Join the M180 – at Jn. 5 take the A18 towards Louth taking the A16 Louth bypass and continue to Spilsby. The Panchakarma Centre is 1½ miles out of Spilsby off the B1195.
From the west Join the A52 from Nottingham and take the A153 from Grantham to Sleaford. At Sleaford take the A17 towards Boston and within a mile take the A153 towards Horncastle. Just after Conningsby take the A155 towards Spilsby which joins the A16. The Panchakarma Centre is 1½ miles out of Spilsby off the B1195.
Directions from Spilsby Drive through Spilsby following signs for Halton Holegate. Shortly after passing a new housing development on your right you need to turn right at the sign for Halton Fenside (if you go past The Bell pub you have gone too far). Follow this through the houses and over a hump-back bridge and it opens out into farmland. After about ½ mile you will see 40 mph signs and we are the next house on the right, just on the crossroads.
