A typical day on your retreat
8:00 a.m. Enjoy a freshly prepared green smoothie or porridge
9:00 a.m. Experience 90 mins of Ayurvedic treatments tailored to your own personal requirements. Treatments include both relaxing and invigorating types of massage together with steam therapy or shirodhar.
11:00 a.m. Relax and enjoy the benefits of your treatment
12:30 p.m. Tasty lunch of freshly made soups or kicharee.
1:00 p.m. Free time to explore local walks, relax and time to experiment with mediation and visualisation techniques
3:30 p.m. one to one session – going deeper with a knowledge session, meditation or an additional treatment.
6:30 p.m. Evening meal of seasonal and freshly prepared, delicious vegetarian fare.
7:30 p.m. Free time for yourself. Choose a book or DVD, listen to music or simply enjoy sitting by the fire or going for a walk.

Ayurvedic Meals and Cooking Demos
We provide tasty and freshly prepared vegetarian meals throughout your stay. Start the day with a satisfying green smoothie to promote detoxification and boost digestion. Lunch and dinner consist of a variety of tasty vegetarian dishes which are all wheat and dairy free and cooked according to Ayurvedic principles using aromatic herbs and spices. Your diet is a key element to your programme as easily digestible, healthy food aids the detoxification process and enhances the benefits of the treatments.
During your retreat you will have the opportunity to observe cooking demonstrations and discuss how to adapt your own cooking to incorporate Ayurvedic principles. We will also give you a recipe booklet to take home to ensure you feel confident preparing a range of delicious Ayurvedic meals.
