The Treatments
Abhyanga

The massage techniques promote deep penetration of the oils into the tissues, removing fatigue, boosting circulation and increasing suppleness. This is the ultimate massage for restoring your sense of self as you reconnect your mind and body.

Udvartana
Udvartana is a vigorous and stimulating massage where an exfoliating herbal paste is applied and massaged by your two masseurs in synchrony. It stimulates detoxification, increases circulation and breaks down fatty deposits in the tissues. It is beneficial for reducing cellulite, boosting metabolism, improving body contours and deeply cleanses your skin. This massage leaves you feeling light, invigorated and clear headed.
Swedana - Steam therapy
Your massage is followed by a steam bath for you to enjoy whilst still laying on the treatment couch. The application of heat opens the pores allowing deeper penetration of oil and widens the body channels promoting transport of toxins into the digestive tract. The steam tent is designed to leave your head uncovered allowing you to enjoy deep relaxation without feeling overheated. Stiff joints are eased and the soothing warmth calms the mind.
Shirodhara
Shirodhara promotes profound relaxation by the steady flow of warm herbal oil poured on your forehead for a period of 20 to 30 minutes. It is beneficial for addressing stress related disorders as it calms the nervous system and increases mental and emotional resilience. Its soothing, meditative effect effortlessly releases deep-seated tension and fatigue whilst stilling restless or overactive minds. Shirodhara also helps balance fluctuations in mood, enhance intuition, increase mental clarity and improve memory. Shirodhara is our most popular treatment and is an unforgettable experience of pure bliss!
Netra Tarpana
Netra tarpana involves bathing your eyes in ghee for 5 to 10 minutes. A small circular dam is constructed using dough made from black lentil flour and is place around each eye. The dam is then filled with enough warm ghee to completely cover the eyes when opened. This treatment is beneficial for overworked or strained eyes and to improve vision. The Therapies
Virechana “ Purgation therapy
Virechana is beneficial for clearing congestion in the digestive tract, specifically the small intestine and associated sites the liver and gallbladder. Following preparatory procedures of massage, steam therapy and intake of ghee over a period of days you are given virechana herbs to take first thing in the morning. These herbs stimulate a series of bowel movements that effortlessly clean impurities from the tissues of the digestive tract and clear the intestine of any undigested food matter and sticky toxic residue. This deep cleansing normalises appetite and assimilation of nutrients and improves metabolism resulting in increased vitality and immunity. Virechana is also beneficial in conditions such as hyperacidity, malabsorption, constipation, obesity, hot flushes and allergies.
Basti - Colon Therapy
Basti is the king of all Ayurvedic treatments and is described as providing fifty percent of the benefits of Ayurvedic panchakarma on its own. Basti principally treats Vata, the dosha that when vitiated is the causative factor in the majority of disease conditions. Warm medicated oil or herbal decoction is gently introduced into the colon. Depending on which type of basti is administered it may be retained for less than 15 minutes or up to a period of 12 hours. Basti differs to western colonics in that the aim is not just to clear the colon of adhesions but also to nourish the whole body through the absorptive qualities of the colon. Ayurvedic enemas are generally smaller in volume and contain ingredients such as herbal decoctions, ghee, sesame oil and honey according to the individual case and type of basti. These help remove blockages higher in the digestive tract and nourish the tissues, organs and bones. Basti is the most effective treatment for conditions such as medium to long-term constipation; low back pain; sciatica; neuromuscular disorders; nervous exhaustion and chronic fatigue; as well as part of a seasonal health maintenance programme. In our experience any initial apprehension concerning basti is soon alleviated once the treatment is received and the effects of basti are experienced. These include improved digestion, a feeling of lightness, clarity in thought, renewed suppleness, increased energy levels and freshness on waking in the morning.
Nasya “ Nasal Cleansing Therapy

It is beneficial for relieving conditions such as sinus congestion, sinusitis, allergies, headaches, migraine, epilepsy, tinnitus, hearing loss, impaired vision, memory loss and lack of concentration.
